The first part will take an eternity to grasp, whereas the second is only graspable in the present. The ability to know God was Christ's gift to us; whereas the ability to make God known is our service to Christ. Jesus Christ made us a promise: "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). That promise gives us great confidence as a local church!
